We specialize in baby and children's sweaters with matching hats and a range of practical and playful items for babies. Also, special sweaters for grown-ups!
Our products are 100% South African Merino wool and mohair, and organically grown cotton twisted with bamboo. Because the yarn is hand-dyed, each garment has a unique, slightly marbled effect. It is colorfast which means the colors won't run. We trim with specialty mohair yarns, beads, ribbons, bobbles and hand-made buttons.
Our business is located in St. Francis Bay, 60 miles west of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Port Elizabeth is halfway between Cape Town and Durban on the Indian Ocean.
We are a socially responsible company and practice Fair Trade principles. We're in the process of applying for official Fair Trade status—so please stay tuned!

Nomvula's Knitters range in age from their mid-twenties to seventy years old and are mostly women, all supporting families, or extended families that often live many miles away.
